Fish, Chips and Quips: A Hilarious London Adventure
This year, a group of us from first-year of Baccalaureate had the chance to go to London for two weeks as part of the Global Work Experience program. In a nutshell, it was an incredible experience!
During the first week, we worked at a charity shop. This has given us the opportunity to strength our working skills as well as familiarize with the working environment. We learned so much about teamwork and helping others. Moreover, It was really rewarding to see how our efforts made a difference.
During the second week, we took English lessons at a local school. It was interesting to see how the British education system works, and we got to practice our English, embracing cooperative learning techniques. In addition, we made new friends from different cultural backgrounds, which was really enriching.
In conclusion, we came back with wonderful memories and useful abilities that we’ll never forget. The whole trip was a perfect mix of work, study, and fun. It was definitely an experience that inspired us and will help us in the future. We’re really grateful for this opportunity that has changed us all. We’re looking forward to experiencing more amazing journeys like this one!
